I only felt comfortable using the term after my undergraduate degree, although it was technically a BSc (science) i’m trained as an engineer too 🙂

      Only about 2 years!

I had an opportunity during my PhD to have a go at tissue engineering – making my own models of the roof of the mouth to use in my studies, to infect and see the responses.
From there, I spent time in Sheffield with a different lab I collaborated with, and learnt a different way of making them, and since then its been used in my work. So very recently!
