      Hi Katie,

I’ve wanted to do lots of different jobs throughout my life. When I was very young I wanted to be a doctor. When I was at school I wanted to be a stock broker as I did some work experience and really enjoyed it.

I think throughout I’ve always wanted to do something with maths/sciences and I figured out what I was best at was applying these subjects and that’s what led me to engineering! And the rest is history…

Do you have any ideas about what you want to be?

I think, when I was 10 or so, I wanted to be an archaeologist but as grew up, I realised that I wanted to do something related with Science and Technology (because I hated memorising things but really enjoyed solving problems).

I always wanted to be a doctor or a scientist..and here I am!

Some people know very early on what they enjoy, and can see themselves doing for the rest of their lives…and some people have no idea until they try a bunch of things, and then it strikes them.

Do you know what you want to be?

      Hi Katie Wallace The Original,

I wanted to be a Wild Species Veterinary Surgeon before wanting to do Biomedical Engineering.

What would you want to be when you get older?

Rugby player, then more realistic ambitions came along and i wanted to be a vet or doctor.

I always had an interest in how things worked, when i was in 6th form i bought a 1965 Morris Minor which sparked an interest in engineering.
