      In the NHS a biomedical engineer earns around £35,000 https://www.prospects.ac.uk/job-profiles/biomedical-engineer

      As a PhD student you get between £14,000 and £16,000 on average.

      In industry you can expect a starting salary of around £25,000 a year heading upwards from there!

      As a PhD student, I get about £17500 each year tax free..but it depends on who is funding the research as to how much we get.

      Afte the PhD, I think we would expect something in the region of £24-£35 depending on the job/role

    Yeah, it varies depending on your experience, field and within PhDs who you’re funded by!
    I ger about £17500 each year, but as a PhD student its tax free, so equivalent of about £21/22k if we were working.

    Post doctoral researchers in universities normally start about £32k/year
